Join us for a family fun day on Sunday 28th August where teams of 12 will go head-to-head in our Millennium Games 2022 contest.
The games will take place on Lumb Millenium Green, Peers Clough Road BB4 9PP with 'doors open' from 12:30pm with the main contest being held from 1:30pm to 4pm, followed by a few hours of sing-a-long entertainment from Rossendale Ukulele Club and more.
Enjoy a hog roast sandwich, hotdogs, cakes and refreshments and get the chance to talk to some other community groups that have things on offer in Rossendale whilst watching the teams compete in the games to be crowned the winners of 2022.
The games are for adults in a schools sports day style contest with sack racing, egg and spoon, problem solving and many more. To sign up for a team, contact the Commercial Inn (Water), or the Hargreaves Arms, or check social media for more info. The grand finale of the day is finished off with a tug of war contest for the teams competing
Entry tickets to get into the ground to cheer on your favourite team and enjoy the entertainment are just £1 each (children under 3 are free).
All proceeds will be split between preventing suicide in Rossendale through the work that we do at WaterWell Foundation, and towards the Lumb Millennium Green trust to rennovate and maintain the Millennium Green.
